Since the second half of 2017, many high-performance Android tablets have appeared on the market one after another. They mainly came our way from the Chinese manufacturers, and they basically sport the same set of key features, including the MediaTek Helio X20, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a 10.1-inch or 8.4-inch screen with a 2,560 × 1,600 resolution. But once the MediaTek Helio X27 was out, the same manufacturers have switched to it. The Chuwi Hi9 Plus was one of them. When the latter was announced, there was a single phrase on everyone’s lips – it is coming to compete with big names such as the Huawei MediaPad M5 Pro. Now, this tablet PC is offered for $189.99.

Externally, the Chuwi Hi9 Plus looks like a regular tablet, designed similar to the Chuwi Hi9 and Chuwi Hi9 Pro. In this sense, only the Chuwi Hi9 Air from this series comes with another design. The housing is made of metal. All the recent Chuwi tablets are built with a high quality. So the Chuwi Hi9 Plus is no exception.

The display comes at 10.8 inches and has a resolution of 2,560 × 1,600. There are also connectors on the side. Thus, you can dock a keyboard and use it as a full-featured laptop. But do not confuse it with other Windows tablets that come with such a design. This is an Android-powered tablet PC. Of course, it’s recommended to use the keyboard made for this product mainly. Though it has no place for palm rest, it still looks perfect. What’s more interesting, the Chuwi Hi9 Plus supports a stylus (1024 levels). You will be surprised – the company has put two 8MP camera sensors on both sides.

The Chuwi Hi9 Plus is not the thinnest tablet we have ever seen, but the 8.4mm thickness allows users to hold it in hands and make various operations easily, without a pressure on hands and palms. At the same time, this tablet weighs only 550 grams.

In terms of the key features, the Chuwi Hi9 Plus is packed with an Helio X27 deca-core higher performance chip, which is paired with a 4GB of RAM and a 64GB of storage. The X27 should be considered as the enhanced version of the well-known X20. The battery capacity is 7000mAh. Moreover, as we are dealing with an X27 chip, it’s reasonable to see the LTE support. There is a dual-SIM cards slot. But apart from this, the Chuwi Hi9 Plus supports a dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1. Finally, this tablet runs on Android 8.0.
