Android devices received Instant Tethering feature earlier this year, which allows users to share their phone’s Internet connection with other devices much easier as there is no need to enter a password. All you have to do is to enable the feature devices that are tied to your Google account.
The feature was only available on Android devices, but Google is now working on bringing it to its Chrome OS platform. This means that if you have a Chromebook and a phone signed into the same Google account, the Chromebook will automatically connect to your phone’s data connection when Wi-Fi isn’t available.
