Chrome 55 is expected to bring big improvements in terms of RAM usage. By default, we should see as much as a 50% decrease RAM usage, resulting in better system performance as well as improved battery. Prior releasing the version 55, Google has announced Chrome 55 for Android.
The new version comes less than two weeks after the Google launched it for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It comes with new tab page, ability to play videos in background and update saved passwords, and as expected, there are performance and stability improvements as well.
