Xiaomi Technology has unveiled its in-house developed Mi Pay system, supporting NFC technology. Official trials of the Mi Pay system will be held in September, paving the way for the launch of the mobile payment system in the latter half of 2016.
All NFC-enabled smartphones launched by Xiaomi will support Mi Pay, said the vendor.
Xiaomi has teamed up with a total of seven local banks in China to promote Mi Pay, and another five banks are expected to join the mobile payment system later.
