Third generation Nest Learning Thermostat is available, but many people decide to go into other direction due to hefty price tag. Because of that, the Google-owned company is working on a simpler version that will still do its job, but won’t have premium metal design.
Instead, the sub-$200 device will replace the metal with plastic and will feature a completely new design. The thermostat will still have familiar circular shape with a white ring and screen. We have no other information on the device or when Nest is going to launch it.
