After 16 years on the publication and 10 years as an editor, I’m calling it a day as eWEEK.com Editor-in-Chief. James Maguire, a longtime buddy and colleague, will slide into the chair beginning April 22.
Mr. Maguire (at proper) has been editor of Datamation for a number of years, is a consummate skilled and receives my highest endorsement. He is certainly the only option for managing eWEEK’s mission going ahead.

eWEEK.com represents a terrific run for me. During my tenure, the model has been revealed by three corporations: Ziff Davis, QuinStreet and TechnologyAdvice. We began up options such because the Innovation part, Data Points, IT Science case research, eSPEAKS video interviews, Industry Perspective visitor articles, the favored month-to-month #eWEEKchats (since 2013), and our Product Overview & Insight library. That’s plenty of nice journalism.
Along with our award-winning protection of IT information and developments since its founding as PC Week in 1984, eWEEK has supplied its readers a treasury of greater than 110,000 articles (since 2000, and 1000’s extra earlier to that 12 months). It has been–and can proceed to be–a helpful and sensible on-line journal for IT decision-makers, software program builders, IT crew managers, traders and all these thinking about expertise and the place it’s main us.
I need to thank all of you to your assist and steering in making this publication what it’s immediately: a key useful resource that has recorded IT’s twists and turns, knowledgeable us about greatest practices and new merchandise, and arrange readers for what’s about to occur within the expertise house.
