Certification service provider IST acquires new factory for NT$356 million

Taiwan-based Integrated Service Technology (IST), which offers full-scope verification and analysis services to the IC engineering industry with customers covering the whole spectrum of the electronics industry from IC design to end products, has acquired a new factory in Hsinchu, northern Taiwan, for a total fo NT$356 million (US$11.2 million).

The new factory will enable IST to expand its business scope and satisfy robust demand for automotive electronics validation and Internet of Things (IoT) signal testing, and advanced-node manufacturing over the next five to 10 years, the company said.

In addition, IST reported consolidated revenues of NT$187 million for October 2016, up 15.3% on year but down 7.2% sequentially. Revenues for the first 10 months of 2016 increased about 16% from a year earlier to NT$1.95 billion.
