LG’s V20 is certainly one of the most exciting flagships to be released in the next few weeks, considering that it will be the first smartphone to come with 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC capabilities and the first non-Nexus phone to ship with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
That being said, any leak regarding the smartphone certainly captures out attention, be it information on specs or even renders of the upcoming device. Petra, electronics accessories distributor posted images of a clear rugged case for the LG V20, according to Phandroid. The pictures also show the upcoming smartphone, thus giving us a clear image of what the device will look like, even though it has a case on it.
The images show the speaker grill and the camera shutter button on the front of the phone. They also show off the secondary display on the V20, similar to the one found on its predecessor the V10.
There’s no information on the size of the secondary display, but as the pictures show, LG has kept an appropriate balance between the main and secondary display. The dual camera setup on the back is also visible in the images, right above the fingerprint scanner.
LG V20 will be announced on September 6 in San Francisco
At this point, it’s unclear if LG will go ahead and launch a suite of modular accessories for the V20, as it did for its flagship, the LG G5. Modular accessories weren’t enough to make the G5 a star on the market, but consumers are interested in such a concept, as the Moto Z series and Moto Mods demonstrated.
Rumors about the LG V20 point towards a 5.7-inch main screen, a quad-core CPU Snapdragon 820 SoC and Adreno 530 graphics processing unit. RAM capacity is said to reach 4GB and the smartphone will be running Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
LG is expected to announce the V20 during an event scheduled on September 6 in San Francisco and the next day in Seoul, South Korea.
