Bragi was one of the first companies to launch a set of truly cord-free, wireless earbuds. But while the Bragi Dash earbuds are choc full of features, including touch panels and activity tracking features, they’re also pretty expensive, with a $299 price tag.

Now Bragi is launching a cheaper option. It’s called “The Headphone,” and it’s available for pre-order for $119 (which is $30 off the full price of $149).

Instead of touch panels with gesture-based controls. Bragi’s new earbuds feature buttons: press once to accept a call or play or pause a song. Press twice to skip to the next song. And press three times to go back to a previous song. There are also small buttons for adjusting the volume.

There are also no fitness tracking features in this model.

Bragi says The Headphone connects to any device with Bluetooth 4.0 A2DP support, offers an “audio transparency” feature that lets you hear ambient sounds from around you through the earbuds, and supports passive noise isolation.

The Headphone has a MEMS microphone, a 100mAh battery for up to 6 hours of audio playback (or 250 hours of standby), and small, medium, and large tips to help the earbuds fit in your ears.

What makes these earbuds completely cord-free is the fact that they not only connect to your phone or other devices via Bluetooth, but they also communicate with one another wirelessly. There’s no cable running from one earbud to the other.

Of course, if you don’t mind a small wire, you can get halfway decent earbuds for a whole lot less.
