Just got this Photive remote for my Nikon D40. I’ve tried it out a handful of times with great results. It focuses and takes the picture nicely. You do have to dig in your menu on the camera a little bit to find the correct setting to switch it over to the remote control setting, but once done it is perfect. All in all for the price, especially compared to the Nikon version, this remote is a steal. Go for it!
