Blizzard Games Can Now Stream Directly To Facebook

220

Streaming your gameplay to Facebook is now very easy if you’re a fan of Blizzard games. The company’s live streaming feature has launched, allowing you to link your Battle.net and Facebook accounts for easy streaming. The feature can be enabled by hitting the video button in the Battle.net client or by going to “settings” and “streaming.”

Once your accounts are linked, you can begin a stream by pressing Ctrl+F1 when you’re in a game. You can control your streaming quality, but it’s currently capped at 1280×720.

An overlay that appears when you begin streaming lets you see your stream’s status and current viewer count.

This livestreaming feature is limited to Facebook Live and it’s not known if Blizzard will open it up to Twitch or YouTube, which are more popular game streaming platforms.
