Google has recently released Android security patch for the month of December, and companies are slowly updating their smartphones. Today, both the BlackBerry Priv and Galaxy S7 series have received the patch. The updates have just begun rolling out, so it may take some time before you get to see the notification on your device’s screen.
If you feel impatient, you can manually check for the update by heading to your handset’s Settings menu. The issues patched with the update are:
- Mobile Hotspot vulnerability by unprotected intent
- Heap overflow in sensor driver
- Notification display error of shade locked state
- BootReceiver security issue patch
- Heap overflow in “OTP” service
