BlackBerry has recently annoucned its second Android-based smartphone called DTEK50, but the company has yet to laucnh the smartphone. The smartphone is available at various retailers in the Netherlands, but the company has promised to start shipping it next week. On August 15, the smartphone should arrive in stores in Canada with a price tag of around $429.

BlackBerry says the DTEK50 is the world’s most secure Android smartphone, although it’s a redesigned Alcatel Idol 4. It encrypts user data and comes with built-in malware protection, aside from backup wipe and restore capabilities for data.
