BitFenix today announced the launch of its latest chassis, dubbed Portal. The company says the Portal was designed to balance the aesthetics of the outside shape with the functionality of the unique interior structure. For the build, BitFenix has used a combination of aluminum, SECC Steel, ABS, and transparent acrylic.

If you find boxy cases to be boring, the BitFenix Portal is definitely the case for you with its clear lines and discreet curves. The Portal was designed as a HTPC chassis, but it can still be used as a compact gaming system. It can be equipped with a 120mm radiator along with AIO or custom water cooling solutions.

The case supports Mini-ITX motherboards, VGA cards up to 300mm in length, SFX form factor power supplies, and CPU coolers up to 125mm in height. For storage, the case offers 2 3.5” hard disk drive bays and 1 + 2 bays for 2.5” HDD or SSDs. In terms of cooling, the case comes included with a 120mm fan on the front and an 80mm fan at the rear. Front I/O ports include two USB 3.0 and a HD Audio microphone and headphone jack. In terms of dimensions, the Portal measures 185 x 382 x 411mm and weighs in at 5.81kg.

The striking key component of the interior is the Dual Frame Design. The inner chamber, equipped with enough space for a high-end system, slides into the housing via a ball bearing runner design.
