BIOSTAR today expanded its RACING series motherboard family with the introduction of the Z170GTN mini-ITX motherboard based on the Intel Z170 Express chipset. It packs all the great features that consumers have come to expect from the RACING series boards in a tiny form factor. The new motherboard is aimed at gamers who want to build a high-end new gaming system in a compact case.
The RACING Z170GTN supports the latest unlocked 6th generation Intel Core processors as well as high-speed memory up to DDR4-3200 to deliver extreme performance. Complementing the great performance potential are impressive connectivity options such as a built-in U.2 connector with up to 32Gbps bandwidth for next-gen NVMe SSD drives, M.2 Key M 32Gb/s connector, and USB 3.0.
Expansion slots include 1 PCI-E x16 3.0 and a 1 PCI-E M.2 Key E slot for M.2 type 2230 Wi-Fi card. For storage, the board offers 4 SATA3 connectors, 1 U.2 32Gb/s connector, 1 M.2 32Gb/s connector, 4 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB 3.0 header, 2 USB 2.0 ports, and a USB 2.0 header. Display outputs include 1 HDMI 1.4a and a DVI-D connector.
The new RACING Z170GTN joins B150GTN as the world’s first mini-ITX motherboard to be equipped with full RGB LED control for both onboard lighting and external lights. BIOSTAR is also giving away a free BIOSTAR VIVID LED fan along with every RACING series motherboard. The VIVID LED fan offers multiple customizable color and lighting effects, which can all be controlled using the VIVID LED DJ software. The RACING Z170GTN comes with BIOSTAR Hi-Fi audio solution for full aural immersion, using the Realtek ALC092 8-channel codec. Rest of the key highlights include 100% solid capacitors, BIOS-Flasher support, Charger Booster, BIOS Online Update, Intel i219V Gigabit Ethernet, Super Anti-Surge Protection, Super LAN Surge Protection, ESD Protection, USB Polyswitch, and a moistureproof PCB.
