BIOSTAR today announced two new cards based on NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1060, with a dual fan cooling solution. The BIOSTAR GeForce GTX 1060 will be available in both 6GB and 3GB variants.

Based on the Pascal GP106 GPU, the GeForce GTX 1060 packs 1280 CUDA cores with a base core clock of 1506 MHz. With GPU Boost 3.0, the 6GB BIOSTAR GeForce GTX 1060 card can hit 1708 MHz boost clock. The BIOSTAR GeForce GTX 1060 3GB variant on the other hand features 1152 CUDA cores with a 1506 MHz base clock and the same 1708 MHz boost clock. Both the cards draw power using a single 6-pin PCI-e power connector. Display connectors include a Dual-DVI, HDMI, and a DisplayPort.

Both the new cards utilize BIOSTAR’s new Tank Dual Fan cooler cooling solution, designed in cooperation with World of Tanks. It features a gaming tank-shaped cooler that “exudes an aggressive feel to the card” while keeping it cool. Thanks to a newer architecture, the GeForce GTX 1060 6GB has a 120W TDP, while the 3GB variant has a 115W TDP. The cards support Simultaneous Multi-Projection, ANSEL and Fast Sync to allow gamers to enjoy a whole new level of realism with virtual reality.

BIOSTAR has priced the 6GB variant of its new GeForce GTX 1060 card at $289 in the US, while the 3GB variant has been priced at $239.
