Battery maker Simplo looks to flat sales in 3Q16

Battery maker Simplo Technology expects sales to reach NT$14.06-14.6 billion in the third quarter of 2016, slightly higher than the NT$13.59 billion posted in the previous quarter.
The company also looks to have pre-tax profits of NT$931-996 million, net profits of NT$670-717 million, EPS of NT$2.17-2.33 and gross margin of 10% for the third quarter.
The company reported net profits of NT$644 million or NT$2.09 per share for the second quarter of 2016. For the first half of 2016, net profits totaled NT$1.286 billion, translating into an EPS of NT$4.17 for the six-month period.
The company’s stock priced fell NT$3.50 to close NT$112.50 on Taiwan’s OCT securities market during the August 11 session.
