DOTA 2 warriors and CS shooters – The stage is all set for you once again as the 4th edition of TEGC comes back to India after the previous three gaming editions and this time it’s going to be bigger , better and crazier. As usual, TEGC brings together excellent game players from all round the country together to compete, challenge and do what they do best: Game.

This gaming tournament is a worldwide championship with a huge fan following. And conducted by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, showcasing their technical innovations and celebrate the success of Taiwan’s manufacturing industry. Each team will consist of 5 players and after the elimination round only 12 teams qualify to meet and fight for a place in the finale.

The stage in being set in 6 Indian cities- Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Delhi. All the Chennai ties competed on 1st,2nd and 3rd of September at LXG Chennai. While , Mumbaikers , took the challenge pn 8th,9th,10th at Circle Gaming Cafe. LXG Bangalore for all the gamers of Bengaluru at 15th , 16th,17th was fun and gamers were on a fierce contest. Calcuttans , as usually , battled with all their strength at Battle Arena on 22nd, 23rd, 24th. Hyderabadies, Playmax Interactive was the place for 29th , 30th and 1st October.

Delliwallahs, we expect you to be present at Battleground Esports Cafe on 6th , 7th , 8th October. The stages of eliminations will be according to winners of seven rounds for CS:GO players and five rounds for DOTA 2 players. Each winner from the city qualifies for the TE Cup Finals that will be held in Mumbai. The registrations have already started from 15th June onward for both DOTA 2 and CSGO. The finals will be held on 27th and 28th October in Mumbai.

This time we are launching a city-to-city tour with a gaming truck that will leave every gamer with a feeling of contentment. This edition of TEGC installed a vast collection of games starting from Street Fighter 5, Rocket League and Fifa 17 to the clash of DOTA 2 warriors and finally Counterstrike GO for the final faceoff.

The total prize pool for the tournament is INR 5,00,000 which will be divided among the top 12 teams as follows:

  • Winner: INR 2,00,000/-
  • Runner Up: INR 80,000/-
  • 3rd and 4th Place: INR 40,000/- each
  • 5th and 6th Place: INR 25,000/- each
  • 7th and 8th Place: INR 20,000/- each
  • 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th Place: INR 12,500/- each

ROG Masters is a globally recognized e-sport tournament which brings together professional gamers to compete against each other in DOTA-2 and CS:GO .The event is organised by the Republic of Gamers(ROG), which is a sub brand of Asus. Dedicated to building innovative hardware and software products for the gaming world, they have a huge pool of gaming devices and products that offer ultimate gaming experience.

In 2017, ROG Masters is being held round the world from June through November and the teams will split the prize money of about $250,000 for each title. It has a global reach and sets up the game stage in countries which are grouped under 3 zones:

  • APAC(Asia-Pacific)
  • EMEA(Europe, Middle East and Africa)
  • AMERICAS(USA, CA, Mexico, Peru, Columbia, Chile)

ROG Masters gives an opportunity to aspiring gamers, along with pro teams to come, participate and showcase their e-gaming spirit and talent on the world stage. ROG Masters is laid down in four phases:

Phase 1: Open Qualifiers
11 Open country qualifiers and 1 Open Regional Qualifier for APAC (Asia-Pacific) makes total of 12 community teams per game title that will advance to Phase 2. Same stats with EMEA (Europe, Middle-East and Africa) region. But there will be six open qualifiers and one open regional qualifier and eight community teams advance for phase 2.

Phase 2: Regional Qualifiers
Out of 12 community teams only 1 team will advance with Asia-Pacific and EMEA region. Out of 8 community teams for the Americas, 1 team will move on to Regional Finals.

Phase 3: Regional Finals
Here we will see the community champions, fresh from their hard victory in the Regional Qualifiers, pitted against their rivals – professional teams invited directly to the Regional Finals. For EMEA and Asia-Pacific, out of 8 teams ie 7 invited professionals and 1 Regional Qualifier , 2 teams will be advance to Grand Finale. For Americas and China , out of 4 teams , only 1 team will be selected for finals.

Phase 4: Ultimate Finals
Here the six teams will compete for the finals. So be ready for proving your wits and glory and take challenges head on to win the game. This surely will be a brawl people!

The event has already started and has finished the South Asian Finals in the Bengaluru city as on 20th of August.

Indian gamers are doing quite well in both the games and seem to have a lot of skills to still showcase on the world stage.
