Many of us don’t remember or have never got their hands on Atari game console, but it is now confirmed that Atari is coming back and is getting ready to launch a new console under its own name. After 24 years since its last home console, Atari announced that it will release a new console.
Atari CEO Fred Chesnais has confirmed to GamesBeat that the company is “back in the hardware business,” but refused to release any information about the console. The only thing we do know is it will be based on PC technology, but they are still working on the design.
Before the announcement, the company has quietly released a teaser video for something called an Ataribox, and a new website to go with it. Hopefully the company will have better success this time.
