Announced last year, the Asus ROG XG Station 2 eGFX enclosure has finally landed in Singapore. The external graphics dock is now up for grabs with a 1-year warranty for S$888.

The ROG XG Station 2 helps turn your laptop into a VR-gaming powerhouse as it supports the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX and AMD Radeon graphics cards. The XG Station 2 has in fact been designed for accommodating full-length graphics cards up to 2.5 slots wide, so you can choose from a broad range of options to suit your needs. It comes with a 680W power supply and is equipped with a Thunderbolt 3 plus an exclusive proprietary connector that is claimed to boost performance further by up to 15%. The internal power features 80 Plus Gold certification, offering up to 90 percent efficiency for reduced operating costs.

The ROG XG Station 2 can be easily connected to your laptop without even requiring a restart. For extended connectivity, you also get four USB 3.0 ports as well as a gigabit LAN socket. On the visual front, the key highlight is a ROG-themed plasma tube with ROG-inspired glow that crackles with electricity, giving you a sense of power and futuristic tech within. To show off the graphics card inside, it includes a window on the side, similar to modern gaming cases. The RGB lighting effects can be synchronized as well, provided you get an Aura-enabled ROG Strix gaming graphics card.
