Combining the acquired patents for present and future wi-fi know-how with Apple’s present portfolio, Apple will maintain over 17,000 wi-fi know-how patents, starting from protocols for mobile requirements to modem structure and modem operation. Intel will retain the choice to develop modems for non-smartphone purposes, equivalent to PCs, web of issues gadgets and autonomous autos.
