Apple Music has a new subscription option that’s less expensive for those who can afford a large upfront cost. The streaming service can be purchased on an annual basis for $99, which brings down Apple Music’s yearly cost by $20. At least right now the option only exists for current users.
Unless Apple more prominently displays the annual subscription, new users must join with a monthly plan and then switch.
The $99 per year plan is only available for individuals. No family option currently exists.
Before the addition of this option, users had to get a physical Apple Music gift card to buy a $99 year membership.
