It has been a while since we first heard that Apple might drop 32-bit app support and since the last few months, the company has started sending notifications to update apps to improve compatibility. Well, according to new information, Apple is finally ready to drop support for 32-bit apps.
This was confirmed by a prominent developer Steven Troughton-Smith, who said “iOS 11 won’t have 32bit app support at all.” The good news is that according to a recent study, only about 8% of all applications in the App Store will be affected by Apple’s move. Still, that is about 187,000 apps, but hopefully many of them will be updated until September.
