Apple’s full-year revenue is expected to be lower than it was in 2015, marking the first time since 2001 that the company has experienced a total year revenue decline. Internal and external analysts have projected a revenue drop ahead of the company’s Q4 earnings report, which will be released today.
Current forecasts predict Apple will continue to see a decline in the current quarter, but it should bounce back into a growth period next year.
Analysts expect Apple will report around $47 billion in revenue for the quarter, which is a 12% decline from last year’s $51.5 billion. Lower iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch sales are all expected.
