As of Q1 2017, Apple is the top wearable company in the world. Strategy Analytics reports the first quarter of the year saw around 3.5 million Apple Watch shipments, enabling the company to surpass Fitbit’s 2.9 million shipments.
The report indicates Apple had an estimated market share of 15.9% globally.
Xiaomi was closest to Apple during the period since it had 3.4 million wearable device shipments, giving it a 15.5% global market share. However, the trend for Xiaomi has been downward, while Apple Watch sales are improving.
