Due to a recent legal fight between Apple and Qualcomm, the former has decided to make some drastic changes to further to separate itself from the semiconductor company. Latest information suggests that Apple is “leaning heavily” towards choosing Intel’s 5G modems for future iPhones, according to Fast Company.
The company’s engineers are reportedly already working with Intel on upcoming 5G technology. The report says that Qualcomm 5G modems will offer more specialized carrier features, but many of those features will not be adopted by carriers and because of that, Apple believes Intel’s hardware will be sufficient for future devices.
