It looks like the inventor of Android, Andy Rubin, is serious with his new startup called Essentials Inc. He has recruited over 40 people and first results are already here. The rumoured modular high-end smartphone has now appeared on the benchmarking website Geekbench.
The exact details about modular features are still unknown, but according to the listing, the phone features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC with an octa-core processor running at 1.9 GHz paired with 4 GB of RAM.The phone is also running the latest version of Android.
Rumours are saying that the phone reportedly carries a 5.5-inch display with a feature similar to Apple’s 3D Touch. Hopefully we’ll see some live images soon.
