Google’s second-generation Android Wear platform arrived earlier this year with the LG Watch Style and Watch Sport, but since then, many changes have been made. Not only Android Wear devices are no longer available from Google Store, but the company has now announced that Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches can receive updates via the app on Play Store.
Google’s Hoi Lam has now announced on Google+ that new features for Android Wear 2.0 can now be delivered through the Play Store when the Android Wear app on the smartwatch is updated. This move will help Google to release new feature much faster and users won’t have to for Google to bundle them into over-the-air firmware updates.
