AMD is yet to release the up and coming Radeon VII, the first benchmarks, however, have been spotted and posted. An in Fire Strike the card scores approximately equal to the GeForce RTX 2080 from Nvidia, in 3DMark Time Spy the Radeon VII is a notch slower.
The results find their way by Tum Apisak, he found the results simply in the 3DMark online database. While Radeon VII is marked as an ‘unknown video card’. All scores are graphics scored by the way, these are more accurate then a weighed score with CPU included.
- For 3DMark Fire Strike benchmark, the Radeon VII has scored ~27,500 points which is faster than a GeForce RTX 2080 FE. In Ultra mode Fire Strike Ultra the AMD card is also slightly faster with ~6870 points, compared with ~6400 points for the RTX 2080 FE as measured here at Guru3D.
- 3DMark Time Spy seems different. The score is 8700 points, while an RTX 2080 FE gets 11,000 points in that test (based on the Guru3D measurement.
- Twitter user Komachi also noticed Radeon VII results in the Final Fantasy XV benchmark. The card scores lower than the RTX 2080, but higher than the RTX 2070.
Radeon VII is only released on 7 February.
