AMD pleased to share that Darren Grasby has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Global Computing and Graphics Sales and President of AMD EMEA.
Since 2007, Darren has successfully led sales and marketing efforts for AMD, most recently consolidating our Computing and Graphics channel and MNC teams. In his expanded role as SVP, Darren will continue leading our world-class Sales organization with a focus on further tightening our strategic PC and channel customer relationships and accelerating global adoption of our high-performance computing and graphics solutions.
In addition to Darren’s promotion, AMD will also announce the following senior leadership promotions:
Mike Clark promoted to AMD Corporate Fellow: Clark is an outstanding leader in CPU system design and was the lead CPU core designer for the “Zen” core. Thanks to Mike’s leadership on “Zen”, AMD is back in competitive high-performance computing with AMD Ryzen, AMD Ryzen Threadripper and AMD EPYC processors. Promotion to AMD Fellow is an honor bestowed to the most accomplished innovators. AMD Corporate Fellows are appointed after a rigorous review process that assesses not only specific technical contributions and scope, but involvement in the industry at large, mentoring of others and improving the long-term strategic position of the company.
Robert Gama promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer: Robert is responsible for driving AMD’s global human resources organization. He has been an exceptional leader for our HR organization over the past five years, as he and the team have worked to align our talent strategy with our business objectives, re-energize our corporate culture, and transform our HR practices and operations to support and drive incredible global growth.
