On its website AMD has now released official information on the Radeon RX 500X series. Little is new about is, and it seems to be OEM rebranding with the Radeon RX 500 series. As we discussed yesterday, the new X series ends up in OEM PCs and laptops.
That means you are not going to see an updated X series graphics cards from add-in partners. If you spec things up, Polaris 12 GPUs of the respin GPUs seems to be clocked a bit higher, the rest all remains the same. The new X series will also end up in the new HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop which is announced today, that one will get a AMD Radeon RX 560X.
In the end for the regular end-user that purchases its graphics card separately, the new X series is not relevant.
