AMD has released a new ReLive driver ahead of the release of Bioware’s new spacefaring RPG, Mass Effect Andromeda. Version 17.3.2 of the Crimson ReLive driver brings official support for the game, which is the fourth title in the Mass Effect series but a standalone entry as far as the plot and setting are concerned. The driver offers a 12 percent increase in performance over the previous driver, and adds an AMD optimized tessellation profile for the game.
The new driver should help those opting to try out Mass Effect Andromeda through EA’s Origin Access program on PC. ReLive 17.3.2 also fixes a couple of general issues, particularly a texture corruption issue in The Division and texture flickering inside game menus in Ubisoft’s For Honor. As usual, some issues have carried over from previous drivers and will likely get fixes with future versions. The new driver can be downloaded from AMD’s website for Windows 7 (Service Pack 1) and above.
