AMD seems to have manufactured a new semi-custom system-on-a-chip for a Chinese manufacturer. The Fenghuang-APU has been talked about earlier, but now will be used for Chinese consoles, but also is be capable as a PC APU.

From the looks of it, the chip is a beefed up version of Raven Ridge, which we know from the Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 5 2400G. So that would be a quad-core (eight threads) Ryzen with 1.3 GHz 24 CU strong Vega IGP paired with 8GB GDDR5. This memory is soldered on the package and is shared by the CPU and graphics unit. This APU could manage a theoretical 4 teraflops in perf which is close to the PlayStation 4 Pro at 4.2 teraflops. The four Zen cores at 3 GHz will be much faster than the eight Jaguar variants at 2.1 GHz in the PS4 Pro.

The Chinese manufacturer Subor is going to release its first gaming PC somewhere this month with this semi-custom APU from AMD. The price for a complete PC including a 128 GB SSD, 1 TB HDD and Windows 10 would be 4,998 RMB, around 630 euros.
