Amazon Puts Alexa In Updated Fire TV Stick

217

The Fire TV Stick has been upgraded both in terms of specs and features. One of the biggest additions to the $40 streaming device is Alexa, Amazon’s voice assistant. The unit’s remote includes a built-in microphone which can be used to control Alexa and search for items across streaming services.

When you search using Alexa, content from Netflix, HBO Now, Hulu, and Amazon Video can be pulled up.

This unit features a new quad-core processor and support for 2×2 MIMO 802.11ac WiFi.

Since the device has a low price tag, the Fire TV Stick is now the least expensive way to get Alexa, which is also found on Amazon’s line of Echo speakers.

If you buy a Stick by October 31, you’ll receive a month of Sling TV for free, two months of Hulu w/ ads, and $10 worth of content from Amazon Video.
