Another problem with Windows 10’s Anniversary Update has been detected and this time it affects Amazon Kindle users. Many reports have appeared regarding BSOD crashes that are triggered by plugging in a Kindle, particularly a Paperwhite, Oasis, or Voyage. Some possible workarounds exist, but they haven’t helped everyone.
It appears this issue may only occur when using a USB 3.0 port to connect your Kindle. Also, you may be able to avoid a BSOD crash by connecting your Kindle when your PC is off or when it is sleeping.
Microsoft hasn’t commented on this particular bug, but it seems to be a driver issue that it’ll need to address.
