An alleged roadmap showing Meizu’s smartphone plans for next year has been leaked on the web. The roadmap reveals the release timeframe as well as the SoC powering all the big launches from the company next year.
The first 2017 launch from Meizu will apparently be the M5S, which was recently spotted on the TENAA and CCC websites. It will be powered by a MediaTek MT6753 octa-core SoC clocked at 1.3 GHz. In June, Meizu will reportedly launch its next flagship smartphone, the Pro 7. The flagship handset will be powered by the MediaTek Helio X30 SoC, which is going to be manufactured on a 10nm process.
The following month, Meizu could be launching the Blue Charm S, powered by the MediaTek Helio P25 octa-core chipset under the hood. The Helio P25 chipset is based on the ARM Cortex-A53 architecture and is manufactured on a 16nm process. In September, we could see Meizu announce the MX7 smartphone, which will be powered by the MediaTek Helio P30 octa-core SoC based on the ARM Cortex-A72 architecture and manufactured on a 10nm process. The Meizu M6 Note will reportedly make its debut in October 2017, powered by the MediaTek Helio P20 chipset.
The final Meizu smartphone for 2017, according to the leaked roadmap, is going to be the Blue Charm M. Oddly, the smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 octa-core chipset, which was made official in October this year.
A similar roadmap for 2016 had leaked earlier this year, which proved to be somewhat accurate. Still, we suggest you take the above info with a grain of salt.
