The tablets market is being squeezed by the full-screen smartphones. But this true only for the small-sized tablets. There is another trend for the large models. Plus, they usually can be converted to a full-featured laptop once a keyboard is docked. So you should always make it clear for yourself whether you are dealing with a regular tablet or with a 2-in-1 tablet PC. If it belongs to the latter, most likely, it will cost more. And if it is packed with a high-end hardware, the pricing will be above $400. One of such models is the Alldocube Knote 8. We have already got acquainted with the Alldocube Knote 5 and know the products from this series look and act quite well. But unlike the latter, the Knote 8 comes with top-notch features. That’s why it costs way more, $529.99.
The first and most outstanding selling point of the Alldocube Knote 5 is the screen. This tablet PC is packed with a 13.3-inch Black Diamond Screen, which is a whopping 2K resolution. Due to this screen, the images will be displayed vividly and clearly. It also provides better touch operations. On the back, it carries a metal housing with a soft-touch texture. There is also a kickstand inherited from the Surface-like products. However, the keyboard is sold separately.
The second and another important selling point is the hardware. The Alldocube Knote 8 is powered by the 7th generation Intel Core m3-7Y30 dual-core chip clocked at 1.0GHz. This is a very efficient dual-core SoC for tablets and passively cooled notebooks based on the Kaby Lake architecture. Thanks to Hyper-Threading, the processor can execute up to four threads simultaneously. The chip also includes the Intel HD Graphics 615 GPU, a dual-channel memory controller (DDR3L/LPDDR3) as well as VP9 and H.265 video de- and encoder. It is still produced in a 14 nm process with FinFET transistors. The SoC is also paired with an 8GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD storage, and a 4000mAh battery.
At last, the Alldocube Knote 8 offers various connectivity options such as a USB Type-C, WiFI support, Bluetooth 4.0, and so on.
