My thoughts on the m11x gaming notebook or netbook as some may call it. Even though not having a dvd drive that I find very little use for now, this laptop is one of the best portables out there. Having up to 8 hours of battery life and being able to play games on the go can’t get much better. Laptop: (Alienware M11x) SU7300 @ 1.6GHz 4GB Ram 500GB Seagate Momentus XT Drive Accessories: Logitech VX-Nano Mouse Creative X-FI USB Sound Card Creative HS-900 Headset Thanks for watching! Like me on Facebook: www.facebook.com To answer viper2131’s question: The portability is great! Perfect size to carry around with much more power than a netbook. The laptop runs very cool and when on battery using IGP the fan almost never turns on. The Build quality is great and I’ve had no hinge issues even though I heard about them before I bought this. For the last question, read the title again.

View CommentI currently own an HP Mini 311 (w/Nvidia ION). Would this be a worthy upgrade? My 311 can run L4D2 in mid settings and some MW2 in midlow (very decent imho). The only complaint i got about the 311 is the Atom cpu which is pure crap. I cannot run a browser (3 tabs looking up info for my classes) while viewing my recorded classes on VLC and running Netbeans and/or MS Visual Studio. Would this fit the bill??

Would this be a great laptop for editing and stop motion?
View Comment@MrMonkeebalz Any laptop has enough memory for a book, a text file takes almost no whatsoever.
View CommentYou can not change the color of the fan, it matches the color of the keyboard.

@Noble1Carter Dude, you dont get it. Just because its an M11x, doesnt mean its gonna play every single game at high settings, when you buy the m11x of the alienware website it starts out with OK specs (Intel Core 2 Duo), not enough to play like skyrim or mw3 on high settings, it only plays great for alot of people because they upgrade the specs on dells website to like i7 or i5 so it plays games well.. you really need to learn more about computer specs before purchasing this laptop.
View Comment@dragonode1 No but I believe it can run it.
View Commentcan it play crysis 2 at maximum graphics?
View Comment@fluorescentcentipede God why don’t all you retarded kids stick to consoles if you have completly no idea what is capable of what. Do you really think a 1.3 duel core processor will be able to handle battlefield 3 on max? I own this notebook myself and its barely capible of playing it on lowest settings. This is the thing that annoys me the most when kids think of computer gaming the first thing that comes to there head is alienware. Go spend a couple of grand on a m17x or 18 if you want that.
