Gamers have reasons to be happy lately as notebooks are becoming more powerful and are on par with desktop computers, while retaining or even reducing the thickness of notebooks. Alienware has now announced a new 13-inch gaming laptop that is also VR-ready.
As the name implies, Alienware 13 is a 13.3-inch notebook that is powered by quad-core Intel Skylake-H processor and NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060 graphics card. The base model comes with 720p TN display, Intel Core i5-6300HQ processor, 8 GB of DDR4-2133 memory, 180 GB M.2 SATA 6Gbps SSD, Killer 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and Windows 10 64-bit.
The higher-priced option swaps the TN display with a 1080p IPS display, doubles the RAM to 16 GB, and bumps storage to 256 GB PCIe-based SSD.
The two top models feature an Intel Core i7-6700HQ CPU, a QHD (2,560 x 1,440) OLED display with 400 nits brightness and touch support. The difference between them is the amount of RAM and storage – 8 GB RAM and 256 GB PCIe-based SSD compared to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
The base model is priced at $1,199, while the top model goes for $2,099.
