Alcatel isn’t among the biggest smartphone makers on the market, but the brand owned by TCL Corporation has just released an exciting new smartphone. Alcatel Flash stands out with its notable camera capabilities, seeing how the device comes with dual front and rear sensors.

Alcatel Flash will only be available in a few Middle East countries, while pricing information isn’t available at this point. The smartphone is a mid-ranger, with its 10-core MediaTek Helio X20, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 128GB using a microSD card.

It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and has a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD display, while it draws power from a 3,100mAh battery. The fingerprint sensor is located at the back of the device, and Alcatel Flash supports two SIM cards. When it comes to the phone’s design, it features a brushed metal texture on the back with curved corners and “diamond cut bezels to stand out in every angle.” Sadly, pricing information isn’t available yet, and it’s unclear if Alcatel Flash will arrive in other markets.

13MP Sony sensors on the back

Alcatel Flash is clearly built for delivering quality pictures at an affordable price, we presume. The dual camera setup on the back is comprised of two 13MP Sony IMX258 sensors, with f/2.0 aperture and dual tone LED flash.

The front panel also houses a dual-camera setup with 8MP and 5MP sensors, one monochrome and the other colored. It allows for RAW images and gives users more control over picture editing. In addition, Alcatel Flash comes with a portrait mode, selective photo coloring, Super Selfie Mode and Super Fine Modes for editing images.

Alcatel Flash is the first smartphone ever to come with dual camera setups both on the front and back panels. However, phones with two camera sensors in the front aren’t out of the ordinary; Vivo recently announced the V5 Plus, the first smartphone with 20MP dual front cameras.
