One of upcoming Xiaomi handsets was launched today. However, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X has been designed for mid-range smartphone market. Such handsets are sold in a respectable number, but a brand become popular and wins customers’ hearts due to top-notch handsets like the Mi 5. So we are eagerly wait for the next gen Mi smartphone. Moreover, the Xiaomi Mi 5S and 5S Plus came off a loser. And the company has had to repair a bad reputation. This is the main reason why we believe the Xiaomi Mi 6 will come with an incredible specs list, otherwise it will ruin dreams of Mi fans. But whether Xiaomi will pack it with the latest hardware still remains a big question.
The Xiaomi Mi 5S doesn’t sport a ceramic body. So we want to see this kind of housing on the Mi 6. We also want the Xiaomi Mi 6 to come with a curved screen like the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. So the rumors as the phone will come in three variants including curved and flat screens are at our taste. At last, we wish the Xiaomi Mi 6 will sport the latest creation of Qualcomm – Snapdragon 835 chip. But Samsung is the first manufacturer of Android-running smartphones. So the US-based company should meet its requirement concerning the first party of SND835 processors.

In this case, a self-developed processor should remove all the questions. Probably that’s why we liked the news as the Xiaomi Pinecone V970 will be a game changer. Moreover, we like to think this chip will help the manufacturer to win the world and join the rank of the best smartphone makers in the globe. Of course, the company can’t launch its main flagship powered with its own-made processor ignoring Snapdragon. Even Samsung, which has its own Exynos chip, doesn’t act in this way. So the assumptions as the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be released in different versions packed with SND835 as well as Pinecone V970 seem too attractive.
Honestly, there are our wishes. The reality differs from them. Some Mi fans including me recommend not to err. Something like that is recommended by Lei Jun, founder of Xiaomi. He said ‘may be public’s understanding of the industry is not high. All eyes are on the high-end chips, but we are thinking about China first, then we can focus on chips. Who can say this is not a breakthrough?’ So most likely we’ll see no Pinecone chip on the upcoming Mi 6.
But let’s take the pink glasses off – may be many other desired features will lack in this phone. Today a geek posted there will be no Pinecone processor as well as no OLED screen at a dual-curved design. The Xiaomi Mi 6 will sport the same 5.2-inch (5.15-inch) 1080p TFT display. If this statement is true, the rumors as the first Piencone-powered device will be the Xiaomi Mi 6S and Note 3. Other than that, the Mi 6 can’t avoid the increased price tags. But whether the company will remain competitive in the high-end market causes many questions.
