I have the old version of AOE2, it doesn’t work on windows 7. This version works, and awesome playing this game on Windows 7. My brother has this game too on Windows 7 and it works. This is via Steam and it’s a new release by Microsoft, release date Apr 9, 2013.
So it works on windows 7. No problem, no CTD, as for lagging, I don’t notice. Worth it.
