Acer has decided to join the battle of ultra-thin laptops and it looks like it could win this round. At IFA 2016, the company has announced Swift 7, the world’s thinnest laptop. It is also the first notebook that is less than 10mm thick, and weighs only 1.1 kg.
The laptop features an aluminum unibody that packs a 13.3-inch 1080p IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass on top for protection. It is powered by 7th Generation Intel Core i5 processor, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB SSD. Due to its thickness, Acer managed to include only two USB 3.1 Type-C ports along with an HDR-enabled webcam.
The Swift 7 will be available in October in Europe and the US, priced at €1,299 and $999, respectively.
