Acer has announced a new high-end monitor aimed at gamers, the XR382CQK. The 38-inch ultra-wide curved monitor boasts of an impressively high 2300 R curvature and supports AMD FreeSync variable refresh rate technology over the DisplayPort.
The monitor uses a 37.5” IPS panel with a 3440 x 1600 resolution, 5ms response time (gray-to-gray), 172/178 degree horizontal/vertical viewing angles, 300 nit maximum brightness, 1000:1 static contrast ratio, 75 Hz standard refresh rate, and 100 percent sRGB color gamut coverage. To maximize visual immersion while gaming, the monitor comes with a “ZeroFrame” design with minimal bezels on all sides. Like most other high-end monitors on the market, the XR38CQK features a flicker-free backlight that helps lower eye strain when viewing the monitor for long periods.
On the connectivity front, the new monitor from Acer comes with a 4-port USB 3.0 hub (including a USB Type-C port), DisplayPort 1.2a, and HDMI 2.0. The integrated stand allows for swivel adjustment up to 30 degrees, tilt adjustment from -5° to 35°, and height adjustment up to 5.12″. You can also opt for a VESA wall mount if you wish to. The monitor includes two 7W DTS sound speakers as well, to amp up the audio. In terms of dimensions, the monitor 896.9 x 327.7 x 309.1mm and weighs in at 10.71 kg.
The Acer XR38CQK is now available in the US for a MSRP of $1,299 with a three-year parts and labor warranty.
