At Next@Acer event in NYC, Acer announced updated Swift 1 and Swift 3 lightweight Windows laptops.
Swift 1 is the entry-level model in the Swift series. Swift 1 is just 17.9 mm thick and it weighs just 1.6 kg, you will hardly even notice the weight. The Chiclet keyboard stands out with its round-cornered keys. The Swift 1’s touchpad has stylish diamond-cut edges. It comes with 14” HD display with support for vivid colors. It comes with Intel Pentium N3710 Quad-core 1.60 GHz processor, Intel HD Graphics 405 with Shared Memory, 4 GB DDR3L SDRAM and option to select between Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Home. Swift 1 starts at $349.
Swift 3 now comes with a sleek metal finish. Measuring .70 inches thin and weighing 3.3 pounds, it is very easy to carry along. It comes with an optional backlit keyboard and offers up to 10 hours of battery life. You can also configure this laptop with 2×2 802.11ac MU-MIMO technology for faster WiFi and fingerprint reader for Windows Hello support.
