Besides Acer Swift 7, the world’s thinnest laptop, the company has also unveiled three other models at IFA, including Swift 1, 3 and 5. All models feature very thin metal chassis, Intel Core processors and USB 3.1 Type-C ports. They all run on Windows 10 OS with Continuum support.
The Swift 1 is the most affordable model designed for students and price-conscious users. It measures 17.9mm and weighs 1,6 kg. Acer promises up to 12 hours of runtime. The laptop packs a 14-inch display, Intel Pentium or Celeron processor, 4 GB of RAM and either a 64 or 128 GB eMMC.
The Swift 3 is very similar in design, with chassis that measures 17.95mm and 1.5 kg. It lasts up to 10 hours and includes a matte 14-inch Full HD IPS display, Intel Skylake or Kaby Lake Core i processor, up to 512 GB SSD storage, up to 8 GB RAM and dual-band 802.11ac WLAN. There is also optional fingerprint scanner
The last model is the thinnest here, measuring 14.4 millimeters and weighs 1,360g.It also has a 14-inch Full HD IPS display, but inside a 13.3-inch case. Under the hood is Intel Kaby Lake CPU, up to 512 SSD, up to 8 GB of RAM and a USB 3.1 Type-C port.
As for the pricing and availability, the Swift 5 and Swift 1 will be available in November starting at €799 and €399, respectively, while the Swift 3 will go on sale in September for €599.
