Apple iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X are with us only for a few weeks and rumours about their successor have already started. While some may think that is too early, most companies already know how approximately will look their flagship phones one generation ahead.
According to the popular KGI Security analyst, the 2018 iPhones will have significantly faster baseband chips from Intel and Qualcomm. Intel will be in charge of 70-80% of the improved baseband chips, while the rest will come from Qualcomm. The new baseband chips will be pre-5G wireless chips with a significant speed increase thanks to 4×4 MIMO technology compared to the current 2×2 MIMO chips used now.
