We have learned back to months ago Xiaomi will push MIUI8 OTA update for a list of its smartphones. But as usual, this process takes some time. First, it should be beta tested, and when it’s over the manufacturer has to test it at alpha users. Only after this, the update can become available for masses. The MIUI8 Global stable ROM was released a week ago and it’s interesting to hear feedbacks from Xiaomi fans.

As you remember the update is available for the Redmi 1S, Mi 2/2S, Mi 4i, Redmi Note 3G, Redmi Note 4G. at the moment, and it’s promised to include the Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm, Redmi Note 3 Special Edition, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note Prime, Redmi 3, Redmi 3S/Prime, Mi 2/2S, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi 5, Mi Note, Mi Max 32GB in this list as well. But even taking into account all these factors, we have to state there are more than 20 million users updated their handsets to MIUI8. The overall impression is great and many Xiaomi users report performance enhancement, speed boost and many more. This number for a week availability is great, though we have to state almost all the users update their handsets during the first week.
