Good sound if you add good earphones and a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter.,
The first thing that I noticed was how small and light this thing was. It feels like a swift breeze would blow it away which might be a good thing if you use this while jogging or bicycling. I then plugged it into a USB port and charged the battery. It took less than half hour as it was already partially charged when I got it.
I hooked it up to my pc and it works just like a USB flash drive. You highlight your music file(s) and drag them into the removable storage device and wait for the transfer to complete. Easy.
Then I plugged the supplied earphones in and turned it on. The free earphones are simply not very good in my opinion. They are not the type that fit snuggly into your ears. They are large and uncomfortable and they sound terrible. I then grabbed my favorite earphones and tried again but to my disappointment I realized that the player takes a 2.5mm plug jack and the standard 3.5mm jack on most common headphones and earphones will not work without an adapter. I did not have such an adapter. So I found one online for about one dollar. I got it 2 weeks later.
After receiving the extra adapter needed to use standard earphones, I plugged in my favorites and started the music. It actually sounds really good. It has several EQ settings to customize it a little. But the sound is not bad at all.
The player also features a voice recorder, photo viewer, video viewer, a couple of games, etc. You get more than just a music player which is kind of cool.
The only other complaint is that you can’t easily search through the music files, and the navigation through the menus is not always easy.
I received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed here are my own and are honest.
